If you got a beef on CITY-o-Clay write to me

This was written when the list was three years old. We've been nattering about polymer clay for six years now and this fair warning is still valid.

How to get yourself kicked off of CITY-o-Clay
That's the post that didn't show up yet, how to get yourself
unsubscribed to this list.

Now there's a couple of things I got to get straight here on the list.
The DoBees and the Don'TBees, just like in Romper Room.

Two wrongs do not make a right. If a post offends you and you got to
vent, please write to me or the other moderators. You can click the
link at the bottom of all posts to my webpage that lists all the
moderators of this list, write to any of them other than Barb/Elfie,
she's on hospital leave and her email address is there for our
convenience in writing get well letters to her.

Replying to an offensive post to the list just compounds the problem.
As rank and file list members you can't unsub an offender, but you can
write to me or any of the other moderators and let us know, for we do
have the ability to moderate, mediate or unsub someone who has posted
something that pissed you off to no end.

There is LAW here, oddly enough. This list has been here for three
years and in those three years there's been a half a dozen people who
have been unsubbed by myself or other moderators for "not getting it".

We may discuss anything, with the proviso that we make effort to find
a POSITIVE perspective on it in the end. We can share our lives and if
folks don't want to read about it they can click on to something else.
Some folks don't know when they are being negative and how it effects
other folks and therefore effects their claying and mini experience.

Know this now then:
The first time I get email from folks complaining sorely about a
thoughtless post I will contact the list member in question. I will
request a "One to One" dialogue, off the list to explain how this is
not acceptable behavior.

When it has escalated to heated exchanges on the list I will post to
the list that I'm on the job and taking care of the situation and for
folks to stop the thread, or more will be moderated.

If the person in question wants to argue the situation with me and not
get the concept of common courtesy and that we take our MSAT motto
seriously here then I will unsub them.

There's three steps to the door here.

When I send through posts that review rambles of the Power of Positive
Thinking
it's a hint. If hints don't work then I got to be more
direct. If I have to struggle with someone who wants to act out, they
can get 86'd out of here just as I would have 86'd my own mother and
second born from the wedding for not behaving.

It costs nothing to be polite. If you don't have a positive thing to
say then don't say anything. If you think others find negative snipes
and comments to be funny or cute then think again, it's not.
Continuing the negative thread instead of turning to the LAW is a
miscalculation for those who got caught by the negative post and
answered in anger.

Ease down folks, ease down. Authority is present with a purpose here.
Let those with the power to do something about it take care of a
situation. You got grievances, write to me. That's what I'm here for,
not just to do tutorials and give shim poi pois.

Am I clear here? If you got to vent write to me. Know that when I get
an amount of complaints emailed to me privately about a negative post
that set the list out of center I do take action. I'm not afraid of
folks thinking I'm a hard ass, because I am. I just promised God to
play nice, mostly, but not if I'm having to protect this list's mental
health.

And you know now that I don't play at NETCOP. I'm serious as a boil on
your butt.

Do Not Continue a Negative Thread On This List. It's counter
productive.
