Blogs and Webrings: The new combination
that's sweeping the nation.
I have a
number of blogs because I have different interests and moods. I also
test out free blog sites to share the information with the CITYzens at
CITY-Computer.
NoraJean.com/Designs
and NoraJean.com/Blog/ are WordPress Blogs
and are on my website, and it covers web wrangling and
the creative process.
WordPress download is free.
If
you don't have a website you can get a
free blog hosted by WordPress. Of all the blog software I've tested
this is my favorite.
http://my.opera.com/AuntyAlias/blog/ San Francisco focus. This is
one of the many free blog sites I set up as an experiment. You have to store pictures somewhere
like in a Flickr account.
http://auntyalias.blogspot.com/index.html 12-13-06: Testing out the
free blogspot account. BlogSpot and Blogger are the same thing.
https://www.blogger.com/start One has to create a Google account to get it
activated. They are doing a beta test on a new lay out and there's some
nifty templates available. I started with the basic black at first and then
realized it was hard for me to read that way, so I went grey. If your
blog is just to talk to yourself and you like the black background, then
go ahead. If you want others to read your blog easily to get the
information you're providing, then be kind to other people's eyes.
http://mashable.com/2007/08/06/free-blog-hosts/ This article was
written in 2007 and it examined 40 free blog hosts. I can't go test 40
different free blog hosts for y'all. This free blog thing has exploded
in just a couple of years.
Yahoo 360 is closing down and the blog that was there can be migrated
to the new Yahoo ID interface. I did that already...

thing about Flickr is you can post a picture directly to your blog.
Update: 10-01-08
When you set up your blog list it on technorati.

"As a member you can claim your blogs, and create a personal Technorati
profile, and readers from around the web will be able to find what
you've written. Membership is free! "
