I have a number of blogs because I have different interests and moods. I also test out free blog sites to share the information with the CITYzens at CITY-Computer.

NoraJean.com/Designs  and NoraJean.com/Blog/ are WordPress Blogs and are on my website, and it covers web wrangling and the creative process. WordPress download is free. 

If you don't have a website you can get a free blog hosted by WordPress. Of all the blog software I've tested this is my favorite.

They are doing a beta test on a new lay out and there's some nifty templates available. I started with the basic black at first and then realized it was hard for me to read that way, so I went grey. If your blog is just to talk to yourself and you like the black background, then go ahead. If you want others to read your blog easily to get the information you're providing, then be kind to other people's eyes.
