CITY-CraftBizAdvice!
I'm Debbie Gill, co-owner and moderator for CCBA. I'd like to thank you
for visiting our site, and hope that you decide to join our Yahoo Group
and become part of our informative and fun forum.
CITY stands for Creative Indulgence, Totally Yours. Our motto throughout
the CITY is Create What You Love, Love What You Create.
When I started my Jewelry design business, MaelinDesigns back in 2001, I
had very few resources online that were free. I had to go through this
essentially on my own and do tons of research before finding what worked
well for me. Not only did this take up a lot of time that could have
been spent creating, it was frustrating. I hope to help our members get
to this information more quickly, and with ease. We really would rather
be creating our items to sell, than to do all this research and
paperwork, right?
It's my goal to be of assistance in helping our members to easily find
crucial information to best run their own creative oriented business –
whether it is online, brick and mortar, craft shows, or any combination
thereof.
We'll discuss many different aspects of a crafts type business on CCBA,
whether it be pricing your work, selling, how to find local business
information, creating advertising materials like fliers, business cards,
and brochures. We want to be advocates for those who are new, and become
like cheerleaders, rooting members on to victory.
